Start Slow To Avoid Spending Too Much
With the downfall of the economy and influx of prices, it is crucial to spend wisely. It is almost impossible to immediately cut your spending budgets, but there are many ways that can help you gradually spend less and less.
One of the first steps in spending less is to remove the use of credit cards. Close out any credit cards that are unnecessary to use which includes those of clothing companies and department stores. Having two credit cards is more than enough, one as a back up credit card. It best if you can remove the option of paying with a credit card completely.
Carrying and using cash with help to control the amount you spend. With less cash in your wallet, you will be more reluctant to spend which helps to control the splurging. Another way to control spending is to carry bigger bills in your wallet. You are less likely to break a big bill than anything of a twenty and under.
The most important way to avoid spending as much is to have a weekly budget. Create a number that covers transportation and food with a little extra for weekend fun. This way you can help control you weekly spending. If needed, start with a higher budget and gradually lower it.
